Geografia Inutil… é uma obra sobre estereótipos culturais, em sua forma e conteúdo. Seu processo inicialmente explorou uma pesquisa sobre a cultura brasileira e a romena, mas ao longo de seu período de criação e ensaios procurou assimilar outras culturas circunscritas por outras línguas de origem latina, jogando com as semelhanças e as falsas semelhanças culturais e lingüísticas, extrapolando e construindo outros significados para palavras em um mergulho fronteiriço no universo da construção cultural globalizada que valoriza cada cultura de acordo com seu potencial de consumo internacional. A banda lança o Long Play que constrói a cultura, mas também tem o seu lado B.

O ERRO Grupo este ano aventura-se no campo da música com a banda Geografia Inutil…. Criado pelo ERRO em parceria com o dramaturgo romeno Peca Stefan – que esteve em Florianópolis em fevereiro e março deste ano para realizar junto ao grupo uma parte do processo de construção e ministrar um workshop para escritores – Geografia Inutil… busca refletir sobre a imagem de estereótipos culturais e o que existe por trás da chamada “identidade cultural” de cada país, abordando questões como globalização, geografia e política para reler alguns estereótipos que permeiam o imaginário comum de alguns países pesquisados durante o processo de criação do show. Em Geografia Inutil… o público poderá ter contato com sete línguas diferentes: latim, francês, italiano, espanhol, português, romeno e inglês.

Após lançar seu LP no final de maio em Florianópolis em show único, o ERRO embarcou em uma viagem de um pouco mais de um mês pela Europa, a EURRO Tour, realizando shows em Barcelona (Espanha), Paris (França) e pelas cidades romenas de Bucareste, Sibiu, Sfantu-Gheorghe e Timisoara. Foram 03 países, 06 cidades, 10 apresentações, 02 oficinas, 01 palestra e 02 mesas-redondas.

Ao longo da turnê a banda participou dos mais relevantes festivais da Romênia, o Sibiu International Festival, o Festival European al Spectacolului Timisoara – Festival al Dramaturgiei Romênesti (Timisoara), o Festival Street Delivery (Bucareste) e o Festivalul International de Teatru Atelier (Sfantu Gheorghe), onde recebeu o prêmio de melhor música de cena do festival. Além das apresentações, o ERRO Grupo também ministrou oficinas e mesas-redondas na Universidade Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris III, no Centro Nacional de Dança de Bucareste e em Sibiu. Após a turnê, em seu retorno a Florianópolis, o ERRO realizou uma temporada na cidade participando do Festival Palco Giratório do SESC-SC.

Geografia Inutil… é a primeira experiência do ERRO Grupo como banda, onde os atores tocam instrumentos e cantam músicas compostas pelo próprio grupo e pelo dramaturgo Peca Stefan. O estilo adotado, de acordo com o crítico musical Paul S. Heritage, “é uma mistura da ginga brasileira com pitadas de influências internacionais”. Ao longo do show o público interessado poderá adquirir o álbum homônimo da banda em vinil. O LP traz oito faixas cantadas em diferentes línguas e conta com o design gráfico de Leco Rezende.

SOBRE O PROJETO Brasil-Romênia: Bucareste-Florianópolis
Geografia Inutil… é o resultado do projeto Brasil-Romênia: Bucareste-Florianópolis, que consiste em um intercâmbio artístico entre ERRO Grupo e o dramaturgo romeno Peca Stefan, além de um intercâmbio cultural entre o Brasil e a Romênia mediado pelo ERRO e profissionais da cultura romena.

O projeto inicialmente explorou a cultura brasileira e a romena, mas ao longo de sua pesquisa procurou assimilar outras culturas circunscritas por outras línguas de origem latina, jogando com as semelhanças e as falsas semelhanças culturais e linguísticas, extrapolando e construindo outros significados para palavras em um mergulho fronteiriço no universo da construção cultural globalizada que valoriza cada cultura de acordo com seu potencial de consumo internacional.

Como referência para Geografia Inutil…, o ERRO e Peca Stefan se debruçaram em duas obras de Johan Huizinga: Homo Ludens (que já permeou outras obras do grupo) e O declínio da Idade Média, assim como entrevistas no momento inicial da pesquisa entre os profissionais brasileiros envolvidos no trabalho e o dramaturgo romeno sobre as visões e desejos que cada participante tinha de cada país desconhecido, além de textos de David Harvey, Guy Debord, Milton Santos, Edward Soja, Henri Lefebvre, Yves Lacoste e Michel Foucault.

Segundo o ERRO Grupo, Geografia Inutil… indica os pontos de intersecção entre os dois países e revela os estereótipos vendidos sobre a própria arte e cada um deles, questionando as formas de potencializar o mercado e a exploração turística de ambos: “A Romênia é vendida como o país de ciganos e o Drácula; a beleza escondida e inexplorada da Europa. O Brasil, como a terra do futebol, do samba, de praias, violência e roubo, onde até mesmo as pessoas pobres são felizes”, relata o ERRO. Geografia Inutil… visa a olhar para o vazio de estereótipos culturais. A banda lança o Long Play que constrói a cultura e também tem o seu lado B.

Geografia Inutil… is a work about cultural stereotypes, in their form and content. Geografia Inutil… we do not play, this is not a play, it’s a concert, a show. The land that brings identity, cultural constructions and / or heritage, is separated by lines, stripes and borders, but unified within the globe. One of the implications of globalization is cultural juxtaposition, where what is true is also false. Geografia Inutil… aims to look at the void of cultural stereotypes.

ERRO this year ventures into the field of music with the band Geografia Inutil …. Created by ERRO in partnership with the Romanian playwright Peca Stefan – who was in Florianópolis in February and March of this year to hold together a part of the construction process and to give a workshop for writers – Geografia Inutil … seeks to think about the image of stereotypes and what exists behind the so-called “cultural identity” of each country, addressing issues such as globalization, geography and politics to re-read some stereotypes that permeate the common imagery of some countries surveyed during the process of creating the show.

In Geografia Inutil… the audience can have contact with seven different languages: Latin, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian and English. After releasing the LP at the end of May in Florianópolis on a single show, ERRO embarked on a little more than a month’s journey through Europe, the EURRO Tour, performing shows in Barcelona (Spain), Paris (France) and Romanian cities Bucharest, Sibiu, Sfantu-Gheorghe and Timisoara. There were 03 countries, 06 cities, 10 presentations, 02 workshops, 01 lecture and 02 round tables.

During the tour the band participated in the most relevant festivals in Romania, the Sibiu International Festival, the European Festival of Spectacolului Timisoara – Festival of the Dramaturgiei Romania (Timisoara), the Festival Street Delivery (Bucharest) and Festivalul International de Teatru Atelier (Sfantu Gheorghe), where the group received the award for best music of the festival. In addition to the presentations, ERRO also gave workshops and roundtables at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Paris III, at the National Center for Dance in Bucharest and in Sibiu. After the tour, returning to Florianópolis, ERRO performed a season in the city participating in the Festival PalcoGiratorio of SESC-SC. 

Geografia Inutil… is ERRO´s first experience as a band, where the actors play instruments and sing songs composed by the group itself and the playwright Peca Stefan. The style adopted, according to music critic Paul S. Heritage, “is a blend of Brazilian ginga with hints of international influences.” Throughout the show who is interested, will be able to acquire the album of the band on vinyl. The LP features eight tracks sung in different languages ​​and features the graphic design of Leco Rezende.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Brazil-Romania: Bucharest-Florianópolis

Brazil, as the land of football, samba, beaches, violence and robbery, where even poor people are happy” reports ERRO. Geografia Inutil… aims to look at the void of cultural stereotypes.
