Adelaide Fontana
The radio broadcaster Adelaide Fontana is fired after 25 years of work and decides, in her last show, to say everything she could not say to her listeners, tell the truth about the lies that she had to tell and, finally, be herself.

The text is an adaptation of the piece ” A Rainha da Rádio” of the author José Saffioti Filho, by Cristiano Scheiner.
Adelaide Fontana that is presented to the public since 2001 was initially built, under Marcia Nunes direction, to theater rooms. In 2002, Pedro Bennaton became the director, transferring the scene to the inside of a shop-window, closed initially, but opened to a wide world: the street. With the objetive of interfering in the urban cenary and questioning the means of art in the twenty first century , that fallows the consumers logic, through the use of a shop-window, and during the performance changes the relation between art and product.
“Received a miserable salary, didn’t cause any expenses to the radio, twenty-five years there and… You are worth nothing… Where is the biggest violence, people?”
The space reutilization provokes a metamorphosis of the commercial object of the shop-windows, which shows a change that does not happen only by the way it is used, but also by the exposition that makes an accomplice who takes in the act of watching, because there is no need to buy anything, just look, dialogue and feel.
“What is the matter? I can not talk? I am forbiden to talk!?… I only can say what the city can listen to, but I have much more to say!… What else?”

The spectacle Adelaide Fontana, since it´s opening, has invaded several window-shops in diverse cities of the state of Santa Catarina, such as Florianópolis, São José, Blumenau, Joinville, Rio do Sul, Criciúma, Concórdia, Lages, Xanxerê, Chapecó, Laguna, Tubarão, Jaraguá do Sul, Brusque, Itajaí. Nationally the spectacle has been performed in Crato/CE, Curitiba/PR, Porto União/PR, Brasília/DF, Salvador/BA, Maceió/AL, Aracajú/SE, Macapá/AP, Boa Vista/RR and Rio Branco/AC. In 2005, the spectacle was invited to participate in the Festival Internacional de Teatro of São José do Rio Preto/SP, presenting three times in a windowshop down town.The spectacle in it´s five years of existance participated in diverse festivals and projects, some of which are the X Festival Nacional de Teatro Isnard Azevedo in 11/2001, the V Fazendo Gênero, International Congress at UFSC in 10/2002, the X Festival de Teatro de Curitiba, the project EMCENACATARINA by SESC/SC participating in a state tour, V Mostra Nacional de Teatro do Crato/CE, and in the project Projeto Palco Giratório by SESC Nacional realizing a tour through out Brazil.
