The Programa Petrobras Cultural is the most prestigious sanction in the Brazilian theatrical scene, and, is the first time, that a theater group of Santa Catarina is awarded with this sponsorship. The objective of the program is to contemplate theater groups dedicated to contemporary scenic production, through the sponsorship of continued actions of research, production and diffusion of its works. In total, there were 2963 projects enrolled in the 2008/2009 edition of the Programa Petrobras Cultural and only 170 awarded with the sponsorship after a rigorous selection process.

Established in 2001 in Florianópolis (SC), ERRO Grupo, by means of the street theater, experiences art as intervention in the daily routine and, through the construction of situations, it has as one of its focus the research on public space invasion and the dilution of art in the daily-life the society. On account of this insistence in the research the exploration of the urban space, the ERRO Grupo counts on a vast resume of activities and spectacles, participation in national and international events and also receiving awards as the Prêmio Funarte Artes Cênicas na Rua 2009, Prêmio Myriam Muniz de Teatro Funarte/Petrobras, Prêmio Interferências Urbanas 2008, PALCO GIRATÓRIO / SESC, among others (see the complete resume). The project Manutenção do ERRO is divided in two different parts through-out these two years. The first one will have as stage Florianópolis and region, with seasons of presentations of the spectacles of the repertoire of the ERRO Grupo – Adelaide Fontana, Buzkashi, Carga Viva, Desvio, Enfim um Líder and Escaparate, totalizing 33 presentations -, beyond formative workshops in communities, given by the ERRO Grupo, and with formative workshops with relevant theater professionals, as well as an interchange/residency with the Grupo Empreza, from Goiás.

The second part consists in the creation of a new work of urban intervention that will present in three seasons, executing 22 presentations in total – four in São Paulo and Porto Alegre and the others 14 presentations in Florianópolis and region. This new scenic project will give continuity to the inquiry developed by the group on contemporary society praxis of games as well as on the scene mobility through the urban space. The creative process will have as source the research of ERRO on new procedures of creation and experiences acquired in the workshops and interchanges of the project’s first year, beyond the 10 years of research of the group on urban interventions, theater and other segments of contemporary art, made possible by the presentations of the spectacles present in the repertoire of the group.
